PHYSICAL PROPERTY TESTING
Evaluating the physical properties of PVC compounds will help determine how well the final part will perform based on its intended application. Operating our Tensile, HDT, and IZOD equipment allows us to identify the polymers physical properties which then provides our R&D technicians to develop new formulas that meet specific ASTM standards and overall provides excellent running performance conditions.
Chemical testing of polymeric material is crucial in identifying the chemical makeup and structure of the plastic such as molecular weight distribution, additives within the compound, and stability performances. Performing tests on the Limiting Oxygen Index, Capillary Rheometer, Torque Rheometer, QUV, Volume Resistivity, Low Temperature Brittleness Tester, and Differential Scanning Calorimeter equipment provides Lcpvc the ability to breakdown chemical components within a formula.
Utilizing instruments such as: Gel Permeation Chromatography, Thermogravimetric Analysis, FT-IR, X-ray, and Gas Chromatography allows Lcpvc to evaluate raw materials within compounds so that ingredients can be identified and recommendations can be provided.
